When setting up the front suspension for 'max. -ve camber' do you :

1). Set up so top of wheel is pushed out relative to portion in contact with the ground

OR

2). Set up so top of the wheel is pushed in relative to portion in contact with the ground.

So far scores are 1). 2 'advisors'.

Steve

Negative camber is with the top of the wheels further in towards the centreline of the car than the bottom.

Idea is that as the car rolls you get the wheel square with the road to optimally load the outside wheel.

(PS. Take a look at an F1 car closely and you can see they run quite a bit of -ve.)

Top of tyre goes inwards relative to bottom.

Think of the prodrive settings, maximum negative, and the way they wear the INSIDE of the tyre faster on motorway style driving.
