Wagon Whiteline strut brace - options?
#1
Bought a Whiteline rear strut brace for my import WRX wagon, MY94.
Boot interior looks nothing like any of the rear strut brace fitting pics / guides, as has plastic panel trim allong the sides and over the strut top mounts.
stripped trim
The rear speakers are here, mounted in a metal plate, and one of the speaker mounting studs is in the way of the top mount ring.

Also, looks like I would have to cut a hole in the trim right where the load cover fits, so losing the load cover use.
Any ideas on fitting - remove speaker stud and cut panel is one, but do other bars fit better here, or am I stuck with the boot interior design?
Thanks

Does indeed look like you're stuffed it you want to retain your load cover. The later wagons (my99/00 at least) don't suffer the same; load cover still fits, and there's a nice removeable cover directly over the strut top.
You could always use it as an excuse to remove the rear seats, cover and carpeting - it's what I did anyway in the end....it also saves 29kg

Is the rear strut brace on a wagon different from the normal one as I need one for my wagon, I have also seen the two different types of wagon rear interior and I think you may be better getting the 99/00 type as you will be able to keep the load cover.
If the braces are different what make do you sggest as I cant find any specifically listed for the wagon. mine is an MY00 model classic.
Cheese....
