I am the proud owner of a STI8 PPP with 19" OZ's. The car is going in for its 10k service wednesday and I fancy lowering it whilst retaining my warrenty. The pics I have seen of cars fitted with the prodrive springs, to me, don't really look lowered. I was just looking for honest feedback as to whether or not it's worth paying £400 odd quid of my hard earned if its not going to return £400 odd quid of handlig improvement.

Thanks in advance,

Mart.

In a word - YES

They do make it sit slightly lower, about 20-25mm at the front

However the main benefits are:
- reduced body roll
- better compliance on B roads
- reduced 'bounce'

And they match the colour of the dampers

Lowering further then 20-25mm's means even stiffer / more progressive springs are needed which would make the car 'jumpy' unless other ('stiffer')dampers are fitted as well...

So.....Prodrive springs and alignment seems to be a good compromise ...

BART!

Very true. The prodrive springs for the STi8 come with new front bump stops and all in all make it a more compilant ride for UK roads IMHO.
