Getting understeer on my MY01, many people have said that I should replace my drop links but when I bought it it already had whitline kit all around so basically would it make any differance if I changed from these

to these

Probably not. The Whiteline ones are pretty rigid. If you aren't bothered about harshness, the next obvious step would be to replace the rubber bushes with rosejoints.

Replace the rear ARB to a 22mm Whiteline adjustable, that will fix your understeer problem

do the above just raise the understeer limit or eradicate it as am thinking about getting prodrive springs +/- uprated anti roll bar/antilift kit

Spooky one, harder drop links will make no difference to understeer. They might just sharpen the turn in ever so slightly as there will be less compliance as the rollbar loads up, but after that near instantaneous happening everything is as it was !!

They look shiney though

Err... i think you will find they do have an effect m8! They may not have AS BIG a impact as the ARB - but they do tighten up grip at the front

Sorry to hijack the thread but, do the scoobies only have the plastic links on the rear? and is it only these that people replace or do you do the front also?

Mine has straight bars at the front, is this normal?

My MY97 Cat had small straight plastic drop links at front and the c shaped ones at the back - had them replaced along with eibachs a while ago - the handling was much more fun with sharp turn-in and much less roll/scrub/fluffiness in corners. Just got the whiteline ARB at the rear today and now things are even better! Especially on v fast long corners when things load up a bit. Just the anti lift-kit on the immediate list now.

Cool

I wouldn't bother with an anti-lift kit after reading about other people experiances with similiar suspension mods as yours (and mine) It will mess up the stability under hard braking, and you don't want that
