Easy job, if it's a front brace just undo the 2 or 3 nuts the brace needs from the suspension top mount bolts that stick up through the inner wing, on either side of the engine bay and lay the brace over these, and bolt up.
10 min job.
Rear is a litle more difficult due to access to the strut top mount nuts!
Search for the info on here and scooby mods, ravensblade etc. for info.

If the STi version is like most strut braces then fit the two strut tower rings first.
You should be able to separate the brace into:
2 rings (with three holes)
Brace bar
Two thick bolts fit into brace bar.
Two bolts that go through thicked bolts and fit on side of rings.
Undo the three nuts on the towers , put on the rings then do up nuts but only to about 15 lbft torque. Trying to tighten them right up will bust them and you have a major job on your hands then.
Screw in the two bolts into the brace (one should be the opposite thread to other) until the total distance across just fits between the rings.
Put smaller bolts through thick bolts to link rings to brace.
Then do up the two big nuts on thick bolts. This will tension the brace.
Hope it was clear enough?

Butty, (if we are talking alloy STI strut brace)The bolt hole through the right hand pin is offset so that by turning the pin tension can be applied then the bolts nipped up.I drilled an extra hole in mine for turning as the existing turning hole dissapeared before i was happy.
I had to reroute my windscreen washer hose through the slot in the bonnet and take off the plastic fixing studs or the bonnet wouldnt have shut.
