Not sure I can afford to fork out over a £1k for coilovers for road use so I'm just going to upgrade my springs. Are there any alternatives or better springs than the eibach, I beleive my stock dampers are a good item (Version 5 Type RA).

Must be other springs out there? I still think Eibach springs are a little on the soft side...

Strange - eibachs work perfectly in my Type R - good balance for road and track use

wwsd,

I'm sure Eibach are a good spring but I had them on an Sti1 many years ago and found them a little soft, also had them on a recent Integra Type R and the improved things a lot but there was still more body roll than I wanted, I want something firmer without the cost of expensive coilovers

Sorry mate, I dont have first hand experience ... yet.

I've got the Control springs on order for my Leg T Estate at the minute. They are the softer version with only a minimal ammount of drop (15 mm) but they havnt arrived yet.

I have got good hopes for them though.

Whiteline do their "flat out" range and are designed for track use with a 35-50mm drop.

I was advised that the flatouts were very hard indeed.

ScoobyGal from America I think it was.. She sells em over their.

I posted up on here a while ago about the whiteline springs. I was told they were pretty good.

I'll do a search in a minute to refreshthe grey matter and post back the link etc.

From what you are saying you appear to like a very hard spring rate and anything other than rock hard feels soft to you

There maybe / should be companies around that can offer some sort of Jap spring rate that suits your requirements for your Impreza.

Hopefully someone with more knowledge can help.

Good Luck

STE.

Just had a look on search for Whiteline / springs etc.

Springs -- help. Type this into search its from 2002.

It may be of use but not 100%

Dfullerton was the guy who let me know he used Whitelines.

Have a wade through the search, you will get a bit more info from previous questions that should be of use.

h&r's are supposed to only drop it by 30mm. the 50mm comes from going onto a sport. so someone else said anyway. i just fitted my h&r's last night so once i've measured the height i'll post up the drop, but i'm sure it's just 30mm.

If you want to control roll, surely ARBs are the way to go. If you just whack thumping great springs on you'll pogo off the road...

Should add, "in combo with springs" to the above.

I've done Eibachs and whiteline ARBs on both ends of my Legacy and it is, er, rather sharper than it was before As in awesome

ive been looking for something lower than the eibachs myself

id pretty much decided on the MRT/whietline -45mm springs
jap-innovations have -30mm £178.60 or -45mm £225.60

i did find them cheaper at JWRacing but that was a special offer and hes out of stock and it takes 6 weeks to get any more in.

anyone know the DemonTweeks price?

Mark

I have H&R cost me £165 from JW Racing dropped around 30mm sits lovely not to low just enough to take out some of the gap in the arch, they work well too stiff but not bone breaking if you go over anything bigger than a rizla paper. Dont get much roll even on track looking at the photos from jap fest. Good alternantive to eibachs for people who want to go slightly lower and stiffer at a sensible price.
