MY03 pulls to the left !!
#1
My WRX MY03 model pulls to the left even when on roads with little or no camber.
The dealer has agreed to a 4 wheel alignment check / adjust.
What should the geometry settings be as standard and what would be the optimum settings without suffering adverse tyre wear ??

You can also change the tyres from left to tight, that means swapping them over from wheel to wheel as they are directional (I think)...
That worked for me...

Try driving the same road in the other direction on the same side - it should then pull to the right. If it does, your car is probably reasonably well setup. If it doesn't, you have a problem....

If you drive down the middle of the road the car still tends to pull left. If you drive on the right the car tends to keep in a straight line.
Tyre pressures 33psi front 32psi rear.
When you look at the front tyre outer edges they are scrubbing. After a good run the out edges are hotter than the rest of the tyre tread. There looks to be little or no negative camber on the front compared to the rear.
The dealer will check and reset on Saturday but I could do with an idea of what to ask them to adjust it too - advice please.

Your problem is almost certainly just plain old badly setup geometry (all the cars come out of the factory with almost seemingly random settings). I doubt your dealer has the equipment or the skill to set your geometry up properly and I would recommend that you travel to somewhere who does this professionally.
The two places most people recommend are Powerstation in Cheltenham and TSL in Notts. I personally recommend Powerstation as I've not used TSL and PS have setup both of my Scoobs and done a fantastic job! I hear TSL do a similarly good job though.

Alignment checked and reset on the dealers infrared 4 wheel alignment system. All readings in degrees
BEFORE
Front L.H. Wheel R.H. Wheel
Partial toe -0.06 +0.06
Camber -0.08 +0.06
Rear
Partial toe 0.00 +0.02
Camber -1.36 -1.14
AFTER
Front L.H. Wheel R.H. Wheel
Partial toe 0.00 0.00
Camber -0.50 -0.46
Rear
Partial toe 0.00 0.00
Camber -1.36 -1.14
The car still pulls slightly to the left but no where near as bad and it does seem to turn into corners a little better - a bit more sure footed.
The garage reckoned they couldn't get more than 0.5 Deg negative at the front !!!
Are these settings ok ?
Can they be bettered without major tyre wear ?
Why could they only get 0.5 Deg negative at the front ?
Do I need camber bolts for the rear so these can be equalled ?
Comments please

You should be able to get nearly 1.5 degrees negative camber. I would recommend at least 1 degree if not 1.5. Powerstation should be able to sort this out for you
