Sti Type RA, coilovers came with 250 fronts and 200 rears which seem far too soft.
Car used primarily for track days so not too bothered about the everyday ride.
Any ideas?

I was told a trick by Whiteline, the rear springs MUST be 80% of the front rate. Have ALL the Whiteline/MRT mods with 250/200 lbs x 2 1/4 dia springs on crappy AVO struts, seems ok except for the AVO's.........

i agree with 911. i think the spring stiffness ratio front to rear should be in line with the weight ratio front to rear...something like 60/40 so the springs would be 300/200 etc etc

i have hks coilovers which i use for the road, but the springs are too hard really for the road (ideal for a track though).
Do you want to meet up and have a play around with set-ups as i am local to you.

The recommended Leda rate 325/250 (I think) is very good.
Not too hard on the road & a lot better than std on track.
It's all a compromise tho at the end of the day - perfect for track only on slicks might be something like 700/500 but u wouldn't want to drive to the shops.
