Going to play golf today, area is festooned with speed humps, came down off one faster than I should have (still only about 15 mph) and i think i've damaged the rear suspension. Car was very low at the back anyway. Drivers side rear is now rubbing if i turn left or right, and when i go over bumps, its visually about 5mm lower than the other side, which may have dropped as well i'm not sure (like i say it was very low).

I live near Sutton (Surrey), is there anyone locally recommended to give it the once over, or will i need to book a trip to Essex.

Bit stressed, spent a fortune recently on the car, and now the wife's seriously not happy!!

TIA

Adam,

Pop it over to RSR in Sutton and get them to have a quick look over it for you, they should be able to spot if anything is broken etc...

Cheers for the reply Ian, how are things...

Might sound stoopid, but then I don't let things like that stop me(!!) where or what is RSR?

Damn Ledas again. These things suck. They get stuck, they fail, they leak. Nothing but horror stories. Junk them.

When I go over speed bumps (any size) at 40 mph, the dampers absorb it like they are meant to. People who are in the car with me shout, pointing their fingers at the speed bump , I just smile and carry on. Pshht pshht, that's it. Not even uncomfortable

Pretty sweeping there Claudius.

Then I suppose bad press is always more readable than good. We have many happy customers who wouldn't use anything other than Leda. These would be the customers whose units don't get stuck, don't fail and don't leak

True...

Also true: you dont a lot of people singing praises, but if anything is wrong, they will complain...

But: every time I see something about Ledas, wherever it may be, it's something bad (except for someone who JUST got them). That's what I meant.

Red face

I've only had a 'problem' with my stuck Leda adjustmet ring because the guy who installed them did a ****ty job (no copa slip etc.). Otherwise, I am a very happy LEDA owner and wouldn't want to change them for my needs!

35,000 miles in 6 months and 2 track days with no clonks, rattles, leaks etc.

Sold the car 8 months ago and afaik they are still going strong.

I have read on here that Leda's back-up is very good and that they put a lot of effort into ensuring happy customers.

Not connected blah blah.

Thumbs up

my leda's are sweet, always have been. it's also nice to see two replies from leda themselves. not sure if you'd get that level of commitment from A.N other company/supplier. keep up the good work and don't let the odd idiot with a bad story stop people from buying BRITISH.

Thanks for the above comments. Critisism is appreciated, as long as its constructive. If our customers don't buy our products, we wouldn't be in business, and happily we celebrate 25 years this year.

Had the suspension checked out this afternoon.

Drivers side rear spring was broken, ordered two new springs for the back which Cheam Motors are fitting for me next Thursday.

Guys at RSR tried to be helpful, but when I found out that they had tried (repeatedly) to move the collar with an air chisel (no C Spanner), and then were adamant that I should buy complete new units and not just springs cos it would be easier, and they would make sure everything was gassed up properly b4 I drove away , I thought I'd get someone else to fit them!!

Thanks to Jo, Chris and Andy at Leda for their help, parts should be with me tomorrow
