Help

Dealer did my wheel alignment yesterday, but now the steering wheel points to about one o'clock position. Is this correct, giving the alignment appeared to be all over the place before?

My car is a MY02 only 5500 miles.

I'm considering taking back to the dealer. What do you think?

Thanks for any help
Nige

I'd take it straight back. Correcting the alignment will change the position of the steering wheel but they should then take the wheel off and put it in the right position.

A decent garage doesn't need to take the steering wheel off, thats why the tracking is adjustable on both sides

Geez!! .. a dealer did this and they are supposed to be the experts!! ... he must have done any adjusting on one side only, take it straight back ... and also ask what position they set it to.

With my recent experinces I would never go to a dealer for ANY work to be done. The thing that annoys me is that you dont get 'the Subaru stamp' in the log book if getting it serviced by a specialist i.e. Scoobysport or PE, even if the service and quality of work is much better.

Take it back - that is just shoddy.
They don't need to take the wheel off - they can adjust the tracking on both sides to pull the wheels straight when the steering wheel is at 12 o'clock.

Phoned the dealer. They apologised and sdaid they should have checked that. Told me to take the car straight back and they sorted it.

Can't say fairer than that.
