What changes were made to the Impreza chassis between 97,98&99. I know that wheel size increased to 16in in 98 and that the springs& dampers changed in 99, but did anything else change(ARB etc ).If I fitted the springs & dampers of a MY99 or later would a MY97 have exactly the same chassis as the MY99 on.

I think that the anti roll bar thickness increased, but the drop links stayed the same. Not sure what year this happened (96 or 97)

I think the chassis is the same up to the bugeye change. Not 100% on either of the above, but I've not had trouble fitting new bits to my MY96 yet.

I just bought and fitted some dampers (KYB), and was told that they were for 93 to 99 models. Admittedly they were a little different (extra bracket for ABS sensor wire, and bigger top nut), but they fitted without incident.
