I'm a technical Numptie mate.

Best to Email Trouser @ TSL, I'm sure he'll fill you in.

Edited as Trouser has now explained it better than I could

Nathan

The story goes that Eibach have just released a new version for the MY01/2 cars. Anyone tried them???? Boys from TSL????

Could all be a bit early as mine turned up today after waiting a couple of weeks Did not want to be the first to get them fitted

Also see J.W. Racing advertising the new Eibachs.

I think you might find that there are some more prolems with the redesigned spring.

Unhappy

Hi Guys

sorry to be quiet on this one.. tricky situation.

We have had these on the car for a month now.. and in all honesty we're not sure whether its better than the "grey" spring. It's for sure a big improvement over an OE spring.. but doesn't seem to have the taut feel of the grey.

The other thing that worries us slightly is that the spring seat profile on the rear isn't precisley as per OE.. whereas it is on the grey's .. resulting in imperfect seating. Our car is a little noisier from the rear than it was.

As you know.. we normally sing Eibach from the highest roof top.. these are a great spring.. but we still haven't unpacked the rest of our order yet.. Not sure if we are ready to sign off from our point of view. We will still be fitting the grey spring for all booked suspension work until we are 100% on this one. That set up is very hard to fault.

Please feel free to call for a chat. dad is the man on this one.. he's the one doing all the miles

Hope this helps

Cheers

Paul

Paul,

One last question.....

Is there an easy way to tell the difference between the new and old springs? Just has some delivered and wanted to know what they are before booking car in to get them fitted.

Thx

Paul,

This new spring is also designed to go on the STi 7 as well right? If so, have you guys tried it on that yet?

Presumably, it's got to be optimised for either the WRX or the STi, do you know which it is?

Ta,

Matt

From the feedback we've had from our customers (both STI and standard WRX) they are very good indeed, firming things up rather nicely and with even less body roll.

One customer also reports how the car seems to ride nicer and grip better too.

As far as I can say - thumbs up!!! :-D

Oh yes - we have them in stock too!

Hi Matt

apologies for the delay on this one...

Firstly.. now the weathers getting colder.. Dad comments that first thing.. on cold dampers.. the car does feel really nice on the new spring.... I think he is warming to them

In all honesty mate.. haven't tried it on an STi yet.. so wouldn't really like to comment either way. Dad says in his opinion.. the spring could quite possibly work better with that damper.. although we would really like to assess the characteristics for a few hundred miles before commenting.

If anyone would like some fitting.. be happy to do a deal on fitting for an STi as part of our development programme

Cheers

Paul
