What’s the best way to get the nut off on the top of the suspension turret? What tool can I use to stop the centre from turning?

try putting a socket over the nut........
hold the socket with some molegrips......
then you can get an allen key in,thro the socket to stop the shaft turning.

air wrench should do it.
Failing that use a socket wrench and hit it with a mallet, the shock should hopefully free it up a little.
wd40 of course
doing it with the car on the deck, not jacked up will help too, as it will load up the strut into the spring top.
