Also depends what valving you specify. IIRC there are 4 different types, from softest to hardest; fast road, track day, tarmac rally and circuit. Then you have your 24 positions of adjustment within these that you can change. Not on a Scoob, but I have the tarmac rally ones, run at 6 front and 5 rear on the road, change them to 20 front and 21 rear on the track. I love them.

Thumbs up

Yes, had it on my MY01, made a huge difference to both looks and handling, even though i've put Eibachs on my STI i may still change to Leda's again. If you can afford it do it, you won't be sorry.

I'm interested in the "softening" setting for the motorways, as the stardard STI suspension is just too choppy for me!

How did you find it on the "soft" setting?

Gareth.

Don't know about a "soft " setting as they are 24 way adjustable, i ran mine on 6 clicks front and rear and had no problems. Best bet is to speak to Pete at ScoobySport (01268 590085).

Guys,

Thanks for your feedback. As you can proberbly tell i'm trying to soften the suspension on my Sti7 on the longer motorway journeys. I've spoken to Pete @ Scoobysport and it's him to suggested the Leda adjustable kit.

What i'm trying to get is some feedback from other owners on how comfortable the "softest" setting is compared to my stardard STI setup. As the kit is quite expensive, I wanted to be sure before I buy.

Thanks all
Gareth

Gareth,

I have a MY01 with Leda B and 18" GT-Lites fitted. However I am not sure this is the product for you . . . . I always have to beg/borrow a decent trolley jack to get the clearence needed to alter the Adjustment `clicker` wheel, perhaps I have huge hands/arms but I am open to suggestions as to technique required

For the record I run front/rear 8 and 9 then track 18,18 not really played extensively but I only use the car for mostly 18 mile sprints with the odd 100+ mile motorway jaunt . . .

Red face

Rich,

To be honest, I doubt i'd alter the settings much after i'd set them. Have you tried them on nuber 1 setting and if so, what is the ride like?

Thanks
Gareth.

Gareth,

If you consider the recommended Scoobysport Leda's (325/225 with matched dampers) then even on the softest setting, they will be firmer than your current suspension.

Remember, at Leda you can select any spring/damper rate combination you like. Check this spring rate chart for some numbers. You could ask Leda to provide a system at say, 200/180 that would behave just like the Eibachs at 5 (softer than you have), but stiffer up at 24.

Now, thats interesting, I didn't know that. That chart is excellent, can I assume that my stardard spring rating are 217/190?

If so, your correct, it would proberbly make it worse!!!!

While were on the subject of spring rates, does anyone have a guess what the forthcoming Prodrive Sti spring rates will be??

Thanks again
Gareth
