Where is the best place to use a trolley jack (front and back) and should some kind of padding be used?

Also where is the best place to put axle stands?

thanks for the help.

There is a plate in middle aft of the sump which is for jacking. At rear jack under the rear diff. I'd be interested in where people are putting their axle stands as well..

Thumbs up

I'm placing my axle stands where the wishbone mounts bolt onto the chassis.

I've never noticed a jacking plate at the front especially how you mention its part of the sump ??

No - it's not part of the sump it's behind it. It's the plate that bolted to the front cross member - can't really describe it. Will have to try find a pic.....
