I had the Intrax (not the RS, the older version). Now I have the Bilstein set.
While the Intrax gives the car a very good roadholding, I found it too hard. Not enough comfort. Especially in the winter ( below zero degrees Celcius) it is very hard.
The Bilstein set seems to soak up bumps much better, So comfort is much better (that's why i switched). It does feel soft at small steering inputs, until you load up the suspension more. Then it stiffens up. The effect of progressive springs I guess. It has a very different feel compared with Intrax, which is always very hard.
I guess i do need to play a bit more with the adjustable damping (which the Intrax didn't have).

Eric

Ps sorry for all the spelling errors.

Eric,

Thanks for reply.

Intrax suspension is only height adjustable and PSS9 as been told has 9 overall possitions for height and bump rebund settings .

Problem is that I have to change from Prodrive which last year was fitted cause with the new Prodrive 18" wheels the rubber catch the rear arches. So I have to change the suspension just to solve this problem.

What is the cost of them and where I can get more details?

In The Netherlands some prices I found are;

Intrax Supersport € 1379 (not mounted)
Intrax RS € 1472 (not mounted)
Bilstein PSS9 € 2359 (including mounting and alignment)
Prices include Dutch VAT (19%)
If you look at UK websites, I found that prices may be lower.

You dont need to change the suspension just to keep the rear wheels from rubbing in the wheel arches. You can get two springs made to measure that are "whatever you need" mm longer than the OEM. You can specify spring rate, diameter, length etc. Cost around £100 - 150.

You may also want to look into lower profile tyres (depending on current profile, obviously).

Claudious,
Thanks for reply.

Prodive springs are made to suit the Prodrive shocks and are lower than the original about 2,5cm. As I am not expert on what rates should be the alternatives or what height could you please tell me what other options I have to suit the Prodrive struts?

I'm sorry, I do not know what other springs in what rates are available for prodrive struts. Maybe the Eibach catalogue will have the diameter length and rate you need? If not, you will have to have them made to specifications by a suspension specialist in your country.

Just been thinking (which I normally dont when posting here LOL): the Japanese spring manufacturers probably have springs for your dampers, not sure about the lengths, but check spring makes like Carrosse, Tanabe, Cusco. I know Cusco is available from RC Developments in the UK.

Claudious,

PSS9 cost is 1056GBP. At 2400 of course I would choose the Proflex kit.

What I am asking is a feedback from these options?
Seem that no body know them.

I have tried Proflex, Öhlins and Dynamic Suspension. Awesome.

Had Bilsteins on my M3, no comparison, but better than Konis. I would say go for the real deal, you wont regret it (except the day you pay for them) and never look back.

I think www.turnaround360.com have EXCELLENT deals on Proflex, the guy mentioned 2000 for 3 way adjustable. I would email them.

Exclamation

Claudius,
If you would read more carefully you would see i said EURO's not UK pounds. I'm Dutch remember, we pay in Euro's not GBP.
Thus I paid 1500GBP, mounted and all.
As you see, Dutch prices seem to be higher than UK prices for some reason.

That's right, you said Euros and I misread it!

You could get used and rebuilt PROFLEX for that money!

HAR HAR HAR!

I tend to tell our English friends on here the prices in their currency, but then again, I'm much more of an altruist than you

altruist ???
As Ragos is from Athens I doubt that he will pay in GBPs. They also use euro's there, so this must be easier for him.

For the Proflex bit, I have no experience with that, but I don't want second hand rebuilt suspension. My money, my decision. So let's not argue.
