Rear Sway Bar Mounts to chassis 05 sti
Hi there
I've bought the white line gold rear ARB Mounts and before I tackle it,I'd rather ask first,
I can see that the D/S is a little hard to get 1 of the 12mm bolts, are they common for snapping?
also as the D/S is right next to ths fuel funnel ,what are ur thoughts to attempt to undo it,I dont think a blow torch would be ok
what are the chances of it snapping ? Do M8 bolts snap easily.
please any suggestions would be grateful
Thanks

In my experience they’re more likely to round than snap. You might have worked this out already but if you remove the filler cover inside the arch you can undo the filler pipe from the car which gives you a little more wiggle room to get a socket of the bolt.

Well,I snapped all three bolts on the cover, I knew they would, but I needed it off and can easily drill them out,but this is what brothers me about removing these bolts, Snapping off.

Ah yeah those bolts on the cover are terrible. While it’s off it might be worth giving the filler pipe a coat of paint. They’re bad for rusting through.
