Hi guys I'm changing my rear shocks shortly as iv got the dreaded knocking.whay if like to know is has anyone put ultra sr on the rear and left the standard wrx on the front? It be just temporary so I can spread the cost of buying the lot in one chunk also are the standard wrx springs going to work ok with the sr shocks? It's on a 2005 blob eye wrx. Thanks lee

 

Yes i have on my GB270. Feels completely fine, the Ultra Sr are a little bit stiffer but that's it.

 

Would I need STI top mounts or will the Wrx setup work ok on these struts? Thanks

 

Erm i can't answer that question i'm afraid. I have a GB270 which i am led to believe takes thicker shocks than the regular WRX.

 

Dampers are the same on the GB270 only difference are the lower Prodrive springs and rear ARB
