Default projector kit for Impreza 2003 blob eye uk

Hi guys ive been trying to find out info etc on these projector kits for my blobeye, seen vids on youtube etc yeah they look great but where the hell can you get them from and how much??? If any has got any info it will be much appreciated

Got mine off eBay , £23 for projectors and 20 for hid lamps ballasts etc, just takes few hrs to do but work brilliant compared to oem lights

I used Plastikote from b&m on the reflectors been done for a year an still look mint.

I did the same. The only difference is I painted my reflector with Plasti Dip so I can completely reverse this mod if I ever need to.

Thanks peeps for your help whats the best way to get the lens of the unit will a hair dryer be sufficient?

Best would be oven or do as they did in that video. I've tried hairdryer but it didn't work. Had to use oven in the end.

Did mine in oven 90c for 10 mins came apart very easy.

Genuine mate put em in the oven as it heats them all equally, you b ther all day using a hair drier as by the time you've warmed each side the other side has cooled down lol

Nah, don't worry lol. I was afraid too, especially as I have gas oven. I was afraid that burner may damage my lenses. I set my temp at gas mark 4 and put the headlight just for 5 mins

I didn't need to buy anything else it was all included in with the projectors, mountings, rings for different bulbs etc

I've been umming and arring about this. I even emailed the Retrofitlab about the adapter plates as I wasn't sure whether the eBay ones would work. It put me off when RFL siad they were like £20 for some metal plates.

So the ones in your link sit nice and sturdy then B9SLJ? Did you wire up the high beam shield?

Yes the projectors are bolted solid to the reflector so u can adjust etc as normal, and yes did wire up high beam shield and it works perfect

So step one..

I've had to open out the entrance into the projectors as H1 bulbs won't fit. I've also got to source some screws as they haven't been provided to fix the shrouds.

Step two..

Baking the lights.. I tried 150 degrees for 4 mins, my light is now like a big blob of jelly! LOL!. Managed to fudge it back together and get it back in the car. Trip to a breakers this weekend I think!

B9SLJ - I'm guessing you wired the black and red into the main beam cables? On mine I have a red and a red and blue to my main beam, which is the posi? Guessing the red only?

Sorry to hear your havin trouble mate , Maybe the supplier has had a bad batch if the h1s don't fit an screws are missing. Mine were ok
I only set my oven at 90c to split the lights
i would say red only is live , but double check with tester before u connect, will have a look at my own lights later to see wat colours I have, my car was a bugeye that I converted to blob so wiring is slightly different anyway

No bother mate, I'm pretty savy with my hands so I'll have ankther crack at it when I get a new light from the breakers. I did it previously on another car so should be OK.
