Had Eibachs fitted to MY99 UK 30K miles, std dampers etc, now have a clonk from the front end (offside) when going over bumps. Have spanner checked what can easily be reached but nothing??

Anyone else had/got this issue.

Thanks

Do you still have your problem? I followed the link but it doesn't say what the cure was.

I have a knocking noise coming from my near side front damper. The noise is only noticeable a really low speeds (like 5 mph)Its an irregular knock, not timed with road speed or any real bumps in the road. I've had it looked at and no one can see a problem.

My next option is to change the ARB bushes, then swap a different damper in.

UNFORTUNATELY THERE IS NO CURE TO MY PROBLEM...
PRODRIVE CHECKED MY FRONT SUSPENSION AND TOLD ME THAT THE PROBLEM IS RELATED WITH MY CAR, NOT THE UPRATED SUSPENSION!
HOWEVER AFTER I FITTED MY OEM SUSPENSION BACK IN ORDER TO SEND THE PRODRIVE KIT FOR REPAIR THE PROBLEM DISAPPEARED WHICH MEANS THAT THE PRODRIVE SUSPENSION CAUSE IT, OR SOME OF THE OEM SUSPENSION PARTS CAN'T COPE WITH THE STIFFER SUSPENSION.
WILL SEE...

Sounds a bit like the Leda I had, couldn't stop it rattling so I got rid.

the rear eibach springs for the MY01 have an arrow to indicate the side of the spring that points to the outside of the car- the front do not.
i had major clunking from the o/s/f after fitting them.

i lifted the car and removed the wheel and the spring had been hitting the inner wing. have now turned the spring round and the problem is sorted.
hope this helps guys!

Hi mate
Look here.
Unfortunately my problem remains and as Prodrive says aren't the front shocks but something else.
