Default replace shocks or ?

hi fellow Scooby chaps, has cometh to my attention my car has 100 k on the clock, now my shocks seem ok , but are they??? im thinking of some pedders or KW s , is there a way of knowing if I need to change to something better, car is not track but is fast road. other option leave shocks and perhaps go for whiteline sway bars... making mind up is tricky. whats your experience of upgrading to either?.

I'm in the same boat mate, i'm looking for more information on the Pedders spring/shock setup as it sounds like a great alternative to coilovers (cars primarily road use)

I had a set of Pedders fitted back in Oct 2015 to replace the knocking shocks on my hawkeye. Didn't want to go down the coilover route as many people on here report that coilovers are far to harsh / noisey for everyday road use, and Subaru oem shocks would've cost over £1k. Pedders have turned out to be a great alternative.

Default replace oem shocks

its come to light u can have your shocks tested at garage ....? but bet that would cost a few quid anyway !. am looking at the new st KW kit an attractive price if you on a budget, very much same as pedders price range. might throw a front arb on as well make stearing improvement. im amazed that Subaru oem shocks can last as long as 100k. if only they built washing machines !

st kw's, on a classic, have a MINIMUM drop of 40mm front and rear.

KW also suggest you may need wheel spacers

What spring rates are on the st kw's, for a classic?

What spring rates are on the Pedders?

Subaru struts are made by kyb - kyb excel-g's are £240 a set.
