Default Cusco front top mounts on a classic

Hi all

Ran into an unexpected issue yesterday as I went to install a set of used Cusco coilovers - the front top mounts / camber plates don't point at an angle I would expect them to. Tried both plates as perhaps they had been installed on the wrong sides but no luck. I'm attaching photos of all six possible options and I would appreciate your thoughts on this.

My first thought would be that these are for a newage car but the rears fit perfectly and I understand that newage stud pattern is different to the classic one at the rear.

So, what are the thoughts on whether these should or should not be angled at 90 degrees to the centerline of the car?

Thanks,
Alex

Pic 2 - would maximise the caster
Pic 5 - would maximise caster and camber

Hi,

Thanks! So is it supposed to be like that? I'm seeing some positives in going with option 5 and adding some more caster to the geometry (I do have an ALK and a spacer in the lower control arm). Nothing wrong with installing then like in pic 5 then?

Hard to find photos of such Cusco top mounts installed but the two I did find show that one is installed to move perpendicular to the car while the other one is at an angle like one of my photos.

Hi,

I own a set of Cusco on my classic, and they don't point in the same direction. I think that Left and Right had been swapped to maximise camber and or Caster.
