Default BC Racing Coilover Opinions===

Looking into some BC racing coilovers RM series for my 07 Hawkeye Sti can't really find any half decent reviews of them anywhere. Any one used them before or know anyone that has ? Anything appreciated or other options in the same price range, around 8/900 area. Cheers.

Cheers for replies. Yeah I don't mind spending more for better gear at all, thought the BC's were just a good middle ground

I would try meisters r. I've got these on my p1 and to be honest they handle well and ride quality is very good. I havnt even had a proper geo setup yet and I'm well impressed with the way it handles

Do Chevron think it's crashy and bouncy or is it a purely a comfort thing?

With suspension I've found it's rare you can have your cake and eat it.

The RM's are different to the BR's, they are an inverted strut so take less stress on cornering, the only ball ache is adjusters are underneath the strut, They are a more track orientated strut with pillow ball mounts

I've just bought some HSD's for my wide track, which are getting fitted next week along with a roll centre kit and ALK to complement it. i got the coilovers for under £500, so i thought they were worth a punt, as they seem to have decent reviews, time will tell

I'm to lazy to figure it out but is it the spring rate that is the softness of them?

I saw tein were 10kg and bc were 6.5 ( I may have made this up) would that mean tein are harder / stiffer?

You can order BC with softer springs and long travel dampers (valving adjust to suit softer spring).

Ive a set in my type r, similar spring rates to oem, 4/3kg springs vs 5/4kg on the off to shelf ones for a classic.

Not crashy at all and thats on bad irish country roads ( roads the width of the car with plenty of dips etc).
