I have recently (last week) put the BC BR Series on my 2005 STi and they are great IMHO.
The build quality seems to be good, they fitted on very very easily between me and my Dad we done them in just over 3 hours. I was half expecting them to not fit 100% (aftermarket stuff normally doesn't) and have to move things here and there but all the brake line fixings and ABS fixings went on no problem at all..
I know there is a HUGE thread on here about BC's knocking but there is a fit for this, if you speak to Kev or Bren @ Apex they can go through with you the best options for your car.
I also got the extended adjusters for mine so i can adjust the dampers without having to take the rear seats out.
Hope this helps

Ive got the BC's fitted on MY04 STI. Transformed the handling and stance of the car no end. Extended adjusters a requirement in my opinion as rear seats need to come out to adjust the rear dampers if not. Noiser on the rears but hey ho it corners ace.

They start off at 35mm lower i think and you can go alot further than that.. i think probably 100mm.
Only thing i would say is if you dont need huge amounts of adjustment on the rear you should go for the new style rear springs and use the OEM top mounts.
If you ordered them from APEX (the UK agent) they will have probably told you this.

I would give them a call and ask for the rear springs to allow you to use the OEM top mounts.
Try to sort it out before they ship them so you get them all at the same time..
