is it possible to refurb the sti version 6 dampers and are the springs available anywhere or what options for replacing the springs is there

Yes, refurbed mine and they are fine with no issues. As a rough guide I stripped-down the dampers completely, removed all old grease, drilled and tapped each leg for grease nipples, packed each leg with red and tacky grease, then reassembled and pumped in more grease via the nipples.

 

Thanks for that , I might get in touch in the future about doing this , did you need any expensive specialist tools?

 

No specialist tools apart from coil spring compressors and a tap and die set.
