Default Advice on rear suspension knocking

Advice required please. Rear suspension is still knocking. Original Sti struts replaced by KYB shocks with lowering springs and they're still knocking badly.

Car is a 2002 Sti Prodrive Impreza.

1. Do you think it could be the top mounts?
2. Is there anything you can do to the top mounts to repair them?

Thanks in advance

Thanks for that, might seem a really stupid question but where do they fit, it says drive shaft but it the suspension that's knocking?

I replaced my shocks on the hawk and still have knocking, I'm told it could be the anti roll bar bushed that are worn, with I knew that before removing perfectly decent suspension

I've read several forums with numerous suggestions on how to eliminate the knocking, including replacing, however the trend seems to be that the knocking returns. I'm loathe to spend any money if it ain't going to fix it. Are there other owners out there who are happy just to live with it? Mine's a WRX STi 2007.
