Quiet Newage 3" cat back exhaust
Hello all,
I have removed my unbranded, but fairly quiet 3" cat back exhaust from my Blob WRX, and replaced with a revolution exhaust.
I measured the db from cold, with the idle at 1.5k revs from my phone, which showed 91 db. Then when the engine warmed up and idel dropped and it got quieter. Have a look at the video.
I did the same with my new revolution system and measured 87/88 db.
All the pipes and back box in the exhaust for sale are stainless steel and stamped accordingly. Unlike the revolution, which has mild steel pipes and SS back box.
The piping on the exhaust for sale is a lot straighter than revolution exhaust, and the last bend to the back box isn't as steep as it is on the revolution, so should make for better power/better flow than the revolution.
The exhaust for sale is 3" at the flange, it came with one of those weird fitting that lets you fit to standard as well as 3", which restricts the flow a little. I asked my mechanic to chop it off and put a straight 3 inch pipe and flange on, which is air tight and did the job.
The few db's less of the revolution exhaust is enough for me to want to keep it and sell this one.
I'm after £70 collected from E4 9JF, London. Which is a lot less than what I paid for it.
