Default VF37 Twin Scroll Turbo - 54k miles, £200 delivered!

Hi guys

Decided to finally put this up for sale after it was bundled in with Matt's car that I bought on here. Now that I am in the hole for over 4k sorting the car out and the end isn't in sight yet, time to remove this from my garage methinks!

VF37 Twin Scroll Turbo, 54k miles, no play that I can detect and this is backed up by Matt's original ad from when he first took the turbo off:

https://www.scoobynet.com/subaru-par...-for-sale.html

Current pics here to prove that it is in my possession are below:

I think that £200 including delivery is a fair price, she sure isn't light!

Payment either via bank Transfer or Paypal if fees are covered. You are also welcome to collect from Farnham, Surrey and I will knock £15 off the price.

Thanks,

Nick.

Whoa! Ok, I knew I should have worded that slightly differently. Primekos, the issues with this car pale in comparison with what happened to your car. I bought this one knowing that the power advertised wasn't what she was pushing out but with it 6 inches off the ground shaking your bones to bits and the exhaust noise caving your skull in, I couldn't be 100% certain during the test drive.

Once I were driving it home and madam in the 6 humiliated it every time, I had my doubts properly. Once both the S3 and the Cupra could take it without breaking a big sweat, that was a done deal.

She was sticking in over 1.8 bar of boost most of the time but you weren't getting that performance and with what few miles I did in her, fuel/boost cut started to kick in every so often. I had booked her in to be looked at from pretty well day one when I bought her and was just counting down the days.

Turns out that the cambelt tensioner worked loose by a lot and jumped by 17 degrees but hadn't lunched the engine, not while under my ownership. Was amazed as apart from one or two slightly laboured startups, there was no indicator. Also, lots of oil/fluid leaks that are mostly being sorted by the guys.

Having various other things fixed up/checked, the suspension had to come off to be raised as it has corroded enough to stop it being done in situ, one wasted mapping session down due to the tensioner problem, loads of little things.

About 3k or so has gone directly in to upkeep work by the garage, I have spent about 1.5k on bits and don't like my replacement wheels at all so have to shell out again for those (probably sticking on a set of Superturismo LM like I have on the 6). Getting one of those Do-Luck clone bootlids to stop the boot leaking like a sieve too hopefully....

All that just showed me how rusty I was with this Jap stuff, I know my way around my German heavy metal

Anyway, somebody buy my turbo please!
