Will that steering wheel go on a classic and will the airbag work without airbag light on

Hi mate got one on my classic no air bag light on, connections are same as classic on some of newer steering wheels not all.
This one will fit classic
Although never crashed my car so can't say if works but can't see why it won't as said all connection same

Daft question, would the transponder need programming?
I have 2nd (well it is now) that sometimes refuses to turn even a bit, but is fine doing boot and doors.

Hi yes it would need reprograming. Most key shops can do it
