Look forward to a few bits for the greenwagon getting done after Christmas
I predict there will be massive display of smart colourful engine bays at NBO 11
No mate I never seen it? My Facebook page is hydrotek custom coatings.....it's the page that's not the group if you know wot I mean mate......wot you got in mind mike?
Wot condishion are they in? The ones in my picture had the full overhaul.....chemical stripped.... Blasted and damage repair....powder coated then carbon dipped and a candy black Finnish £420 all in on 18".......the other way of doing it is to just dress the front up......rub down....prep the fronts only paint then dip and clear to finish but that is still £80 a wheel and possible chances of corrosion coming through.....chemical strip and blast takes that away
Northeast of England in Durham mate.....wot sort of finish are you looking for on the wheels? Carbon but you wanting a colour or as close to the standard colour?

yeah thats the one i sent it to, sent a friend request to it just there incase that helps.
i'm after my hawkeye centre console and heater vent surrounds done in carbon, basically all of the silver bits on the dash and possibly the cowling around the speedo cluster.
how long would you need the bits and how soon could you do it? i only live down the road in houghton.
I think I've seen your car mate blobeye tho yeh? Tyre spot by any chance?......it would be in January now before I could do it and all going to plan they would be done within the wk but I'd still like to leave 7/10 days if that would be ok?

The brembos are still a unknown part to be dipped....as I need to dip on fresh paint ect the brembo need a good heat resistant paint of around 500c to be on the safe side and am not sure if when I dip the pattern will etch into the paint as it sets hard and fast....then I'd need the same paint in a clear coat to seal the pattern in......I've just took delivery of some awesome reaper skull pattern this dipped over a metallic silver and a candy finish is awesome mate

probably just as close to looking like standard wet carbon weave as possible, but would it be possible to have a look at some examples of different ones in the flesh in in january before i decide?
Yeh mike I will get some speed shapes painted and dipped as examples for you to look at......the prodrive wheel in my pictures had a candy black over it as it was like this once dipped......but the black candy has a blue tint to it in certain light conditions....
But the other patterns like the gold n black and bronze over black are alittle more subtle if wanted

Hmmm very interesting very tempting mate.. Have a good few ideas for my car mate to do with skulls
Basically all the silver bits of the dash and clock surround would be from £100/£130 depending on wot finish your after.....the picture had a candy black over it and it has a slight blue tint in the light.....am looking to do a bronze and black carbon effect for the people wanting it dark, and the black and silver is a standard colour finish mate.....can also add candy colours
This is awesome, my missus has got me aload of this carbon film and a few bits for Christmas I am quite handy so going to have a go at this myself i understand this is your business but any advice would be much appreciated!
I take it you have a mydipkit yeh! They all pretty much fine for small items if you get the water temp spot on....lay the right amount of activator on the film and prep all your parts properly as the prep and finish is 95% of the work........you tell me your plans......parts to be dipped where you going to dip them ect and I might be ale to help you out but it's not as straight forward as its made out to be that's for sure.....be prepared to do them again
Well all patterns/films act differently when put on the water when hit with activator and soak times will change...also the activators can be different strengths which can cause different issues...... I run tests on all new films ect before going in with a part I've spent ages doing the prep work
