Default intake charge temp gauge

have a small intake charge temp gauge

includes temperture gauge and cable/probe,

£20 posted


Standard 600mm SENSOR CABLE ( may have to extend cable depending where you mount sensor ( any thinwall twincore cable is fine)

Gauge Specifications

High Visibilityback light Blue LCD display

Switchable between °c and°f

Temp Range: -20°c to +70°c

Sampling Rate: 1 second

Dimensions: 48mm X 28mm

You can use these for any type of temperature sensing. I've seen them fitted to show pre-turbo intake temp and post intercooler temps. Theres lots on ebay at varying prices, but the ops price is a good one as you dont have to wait 2 weeks for it to arrive from china

i have one of these fitted they are an ok little gadget. i mounted mine into the back of the top compartment of my dashboard (inside it)

have a couple more of these if anyone is interested, was going to fit too my project car , but sold it today, will do two for £35 or £20 each ,

with two you can do charge temp and air intake temp

Was thinking of fitting mine into the inlet pipe, I've a ap hard pipe with a spare valve I could use just hope the probe fits now ;0)

So where are you guys fitting these? Pre intake temp or charge temp? Wot they best suited to as giving a useful reading ect......

The most useful place is too put it after the turbo , (close to throttle body) to measure the charge temp ,

but i have two set up on a blob sti , (one in airbox, and one in silicone hose between TMIC and TB)

just usefull to see charge temp and intake temp , shows how good the intercooler is doing its job etc..

Am running a Perrin fmic and am pretty certain it's doing it's job nicely so like you say maybe after the turbo......wit about the inlet pipe? The thought of the end of the probe coming off and into the turbo sends shivers up my spine lol......but would like to know the air intake temp.....engine bay heat, humidity ect
