PPG Straight cut 5 speed Dog box gearset - Bargin price
I have for sale my 5 speed PPG Gearset Straight cut gears with dog engagement. Ideal for time attack cars due to the higher speed ratio's.
I'm only selling as i'm changing to a ultra low ratio box for rallycross.

1-4 are straight cut and 5th gear is helical
This is a used gearset from my rallycross supercar, but as you will see from the photo's it is still in excellent condition.
I'm selling just the gearset but it will include a 3.9CWP. I've decided to list as just a gearset so people could see the internals so they know exactly what they are buying rather than just a sealed gearbox and they can use what ever diff they want when they build it up. If you have a casing and diff, i'll build the unit up for you for a small additional fee.
Bargin price of just £900.00, will be a very good addition to someones car.
Preference would be collection due to weight and inspection purposes (clitheroe, lancsashire)

Personally mine is running just shy of 540bhp and 480lb of torque and has done for the last 4 seasons with no issues. Regularly maintained by myself and stripped for inspection after every 4 events.
Forgot to add that it's always been run using millers h/duty lsd black moly (140) and now nano(135) motorsport gearbox oil which helps cusion the changes on dog boxes, so never compromised in anyway.

It would be too noisey for the road in my honest opinion as the straight cut gears give off a whinning noise. PPG is better than most straight cuts due to the tooth profile, but still I think it would drive you insane on the road.
Really ment for motorsport / track / drag use.

Cheers for beating me to the reply, but as the post above 754.
You would need to supply the casing, front diff and CWP you require(if different to the 3.9 included with the gearset) then for an extra £50 i'll build it up for you if you want.
