Default TD05 18g £230

Hi all i am selling a TD05 18g which i have not long brought for the car but after speaking to a few people i want more power and have my eyes on another turbo... There is no forwards and backwards play in the shaft and when you spin the impellor the blades do not touch the housing. There is a little left and right movement but i have been advised that this is normal.. If you wish to view that is fine with me...

Other then that it is spot on. This made 350bhp on the persons car before and i have been told that they can reach 370hp with supporting mods

Looking for £230..

Will this fit on a bugeye? And will it offer much more than the TDI04 I have on there as standard?

As above - what's it like in comparison to a VF34 etc?

Sorry buddy i have no clue as never had a VF34, from what i have been told the VF's deliever power smoothly as for the TD's they are a little bit more aggressive..

This will be a noticable difference compared to a TD04 as i had one of those before i changed to my VF28 which is on the car now and upforsale but the VF produces more power then the VF28...

And yes this will fit a bug eye buddy

By more aggressive than the VF series. Do you mean when the turbo kicks in it delivers more of a kick? What sort of numbers do these commonly make?

Thanks jamie

I run a TD05 18G and they usually run at about 370 ish, maybe a tad more on a good day but not a 400 BHP turbo.

By more aggressive it means they flow more air so can carry the boost further up the rev range.

What's the very max that a newage 5 speed can take? I've read on here some people have had 380... I don't track my car, launch it or anything like that. Just a daily driver

I ran a daily driver Bug WRX with a Deadbolt 18G which Bob Rawle mapped to 375 / 300 ish and it held together.

Then I went and added methanol injection and broke 2 WRX gearboxes so had to go 6 speed.

I have to say, before I had the 18G I ran a 16G (like your VF) and felt I could always have a play without fear of something expensive breaking or the car trying to kill me LOL
