v5/6 ecutek ecu
version 5/6 ecutek ecu
09/98 - 08/00
I bought this ecu from a member on the P1 owners club so this would make it a UK ecu with ecutek license but I never used it as I now have an apexi. The ecu was mapped by Bob Rawle and was running 420 bhp with supporting modifications.
£150

who mapped it? for it to be worth over £150 (the cost of an ecutek license) you'd need to have the same mods and reciept for the mapping.
I need one as I dont want to use Zen anymore so let me know who did it chap.

the license is £150 no matter who maps it.
Then the 1st map itself is £400 making it a total of £550
Once the license is on the ecu, if the original mapper does a tweek etc you only pay for the time but if another mapper was to do it you'd have to pay for the map from scratch (around £300+vat) but the license will always be on the ecu, hence saving £150.
For it to be value for money you'd need to use the original mapper to tweek the current map, otherwise you're only saving about £90-100.
Trust me, i've got an ECUtek on mine and its a pain in the chuffer going back to the original mapper all the time to save ££.
