Don`t wanna sound thick, but I assume this replaces the cap which is the same shape, as opposed to the round one at the front?

Is there any chance that someone can clarify if :
1 it replaces header tank cap
2 it replaces radiator cap
3 you buy 2 & replace both
1,2 or 3 please, which one is it coz I'm lost (thick geordie u see...lol)
