1997 WRX

1997 WRX
Well, after nearly five years (I think) I cant believe Im doing this. After much consideration I am selling my much loved WRX.
Before going further I would like to point out I believe the head gasket has gone, water is going missing although its not in the oil or is it being burnt. I thinks its pressurising into the overflow. I can top it up though and take any perspective buyer out as it still runs and starts perfectly ok. Becasue of this I have had the car sat in my garage for 6 months now so not to do further damage. I start it regularly and hand break is left off. Despite this fault I will not accept peanuts and if no one want the car I will just repair it myself.
Reason for sale: Cant be bothered to take eingine out and possibly moving to Dubai with work.
So,
1997 WRX Import
76k miles approx
HKS mushroom filter and pipe
Onboard variable boost controller
Forge dump valve
Full stainless exhaust, heat wrapped.
Ball bearing turbo
Fidanza light weight flywheel with changeable friction pads
Apexi ECU with command unit remapped by Indigo-GT
4 pot front calipers from UK STI
New pads and discs fited all round less than 4000 miles ago (maybe even as low as 2k, cant remember)
New clutch fitted with Fidaza flywheel around 6k ago.
Top and undermount front strut braces
Cat 1 alarm
Oil changed every 4000 miles roughly whilst I have changed the gearbox and dif oils every other oil change without fail.
This car is an excellent example and rolling roaded at 306bhp and powerstation tewkesbury BEFORE I spent £1k on the ecu and remap. All electrics work fine including air con (analogue climate control). Solid underneath and next to no marks on it for its age.
I looking for £3200 ono as I have spent a fortune on this car, I have been the sole owner since it arrived in the UK and have the import documentation. I realise some may see this as a lot of money but like I said Im not overly desperate to sell it and It is my pride and joy.
Any questions please feel free to pm or email me at ben.creed@hotmail.co.uk and Ill give you my mobile number.
Ben

Sorry matey but I think you will be waiting for ever to see it sell at that price with a problem like that. My advice would be to drop your price OR repair it and get your asking price. Nice looking classic BTW.

Agreed. Not a chance at that price if it needs a new engine. £1500-£2000 tops I am afraid mate.
Just a thought, but it hasn't sprung a leak in the rad end tank has it? They suffer from hair-line cracks on the plastic end tank and is quite hard to spot.
