Default 1998 V4 STI Type-R in white For sale

1998 V4 Type-R in white for grabs if any one is interested?
Looks and drives 100%. It's in daily use and now has a couple of scuffs on the 17" alloy's and maybe a stone chip or two? but that is it!
Mileage is about 78k miles and engine is as sweet as ever. 'Kakimoto' 3" straight through race exhaust + original for MOT's. Turbo timer, premium sound system.
It has not been boosted or modded in any way, always driven sensibly by the very mature owner. Full service history, Jap & UK, recent cam belt and Iridium spark plugs etc. Long Mot & Tax. All panels are straight and no sign of any accident damage what so ever. I imported it a couple of years ago as 'grade 4' Japan Auction vehicle. I'm not open to offers what so ever , the first £4500 drives it away!
Please only make contact if genuinely looking for one, you will not be disappointed I promise. The car is very dirty at the moment, I'm very busy and much to cold to clean it.....sorry! Any Inspection welcome

Just make contact and give me your e-mail address if you want to ask any questions or see some pictures. Hopefully this might eliminate any time waisters.

Please also note....it is not advertised anywhere else for the moment, I'm not desperate to sel. I can always take a deposit and hold till after Christmas if money is an issue at this expensive time of year?

Wrong time of year; everyone has loads to pay for and things going on so very few if any at all will be looking for a new car. Also bare in mind that most get paid early in December and have to wait till end of jan so near on 6 weeks. I would not expect much till it picks up late feb early march at best

Car looks mint from you avatar but get some pictures up or atleast the link to pistonheads, from my experience you have to put up as much detail and pictures as possible so asking for people to email you IMO will only get you time wasters

As said car looks mint and well cared for so I am sure it won't hang about when things pick up

Best of luck

I hear what you're saying fella, I'm in no rush to sell. 'Mint' is not a word I use lightly considering the cars age etc, it's a very nice straight example, very nice body, paint and interior. I do think there are people out there with money, I've had umpteenth phone calls offering me £4k over the phone! There's always a little movement in the price, however when people offer me big lumps off the asking price with out viewing......I can't take it serious. Having looked around, it's the cheapest 'V4' I've seen and I'll have money on it it's the best on offer at that price.

Cheers

i might have gone one better. I haven't been in touch after you sent pics as i thought i'd found one near enough on my doorstep. He was bringing the car to me today, got the money sitting in front of me and i get a 'i've been called in to work' text.

Hopefully if the weather doesn't get all arsey again and i can get off work i'm planning on a lancashire trip on monday or tuesday to see as many as i can so i should be in touch soon

Ah yeah suppose you are right.

I bought mine with the engine shot as due to their history I wouldn't buy one any other way and even though the gearbox had been rebuilt I soon realised quite a few other things needed doing due to not being very looked after. Just recently had all the brakes and calipers done. Expensive cars but worth it in my opinion. I'm in no way saying this is the same with yours.

Happy motoring, they such a great car!

Hey you luck ainn't s**t, you have a Type R for one and alot of people dream of having one of those who have UK Turbos.

Take it, it wasn't slippling on the test drive so just one of those things. Could be worse i.e. the engine.

You still got a good buy for the price.

Make sure the services are up to date and if you get stuck with anything give me a shout.

Today I thought mine was seriously ill as I broke down but just turned out the air filter pipe had become loose and blew itself off, was a scary moment but an easy fix.

Chin up.
