I loved reading your thread, what direction are you heading in now? H6 conversion maybe?
Did you figure out what the oil pressure issue was with the 2.35?
I've always fancied a 2.35 with a twin scroll BW, probably the best combination for a high powered road car! No funds for this at the moment unfortunately though.

Yeah, bought an EG33 and building that at the moment.

I did, the oil pump housing was cracked, new bearings for safe measure and a new oilpump and it's been going strong ever since.

I keep forgetting to post on the forums, lots of stuff happening in-between my very sporadic posting.

Thanks, I hope it goes to someone who appreciates it and won't just beat it to death.

hi guys, so my legacy ej22 1993, is starting to knock, so i got an ej22e (1993) phase 1 engine block sitting in my garage. also i did purchase the set of darton performance sleeves kit for this block, These sleeves are delivered with a 97mm bore, but can be bored to 100mm maximum. also a friend gift me a 1998 impreza ej25 phase 1 engine crankshaft! this one has thrust bearing on #3 main. but this crank has 48mm rod journal bearings, and the ej22 has 52mm.

so i got ej22 soon sleeved, bored to 99.5 (to fit 2.5 pistons)

ej25 1998 phase 1 crankshaft, this will increase the stroke from 75mm to 79mm

which RODS-PISTONS should i buy? if im not wrong with all my reading, i think is

1998 rod lenght rods w/ 1.890" (48.0mm) OE rod journal diameter
and phase 2 ej25 pistons (IM NOT SURE HERE)

can someone point me which 48mm rods do i need and pistons that will not change the compression rattio of the chambers please.

mostly i want the engine to be sleeved and with forged rod/pistons for nostalgia! also i want to turbo it next year with at least 10psi.

what are your suggest?
