Time to put my Blob STi up for sale.

Moving back to VW for the time being. Just wanted to have another STi before I did so.

Before I proceed with the add I'd just like to confirm before anyone asks, the car never had a head gasket problem. The fiasco I had back in November last year was down to a money grabbing specialist in my local area who I later found out courtesy of some helpful guys on this forum that he is known for it.

I took the car in with knocking rear struts and came out with a potential £2k bill.

Thankfully Indigo GT took the car in for me and confirmed there was no problem. Done 2k miles since. So wasted a lot of time and money for nothing.

On this service the car had the following in addition to the usual items:

-New front pads
-New front discs
-Hayward and Scott decat sections fitted


In the last month I've had the rear drop links and 2 new rear shocks fitted as they were knocking.

Body wise the car is almost mint. It does have the usual stone chips on the front bumper but nothing major.

Interior, the seats are unmarked. No modifications. Standard stereo etc.

Wheels/Tyres: Wheels are very good. Few kerb marks present. I'd give them a seven out of ten personally. Not mint but not terrible.

Two new back tyres. Front two have worn on the outer edges where previous owner hadn't had tracking and alignment done. I've since had this done.

All tyres are Continental Contisport Contact 3. 225/45/17

I'll be taking some detailed pictures now that the weather has cleared up but here are just a few I already have just to give you an idea.








Given mileage, condition and also the history I've priced it at £8900.

If you were 2 days earlier I would of had it off you. Good luck with the sale though it's a nice looking car.

Just putting it on Pistonheads now. Not even attempting Ebay.

Had no interest really.

Few usual low offers so bought a set of XXR wheels in a group buy last week.

Neil from Slowboy racing has also been in touch about the car on your behalf I believe?

He did agree a price but then asked me to drive to Newtown in Mid Wales to meet him for a viewing which I declined as its a 210 mile round trip. Haven't heard from him since.

Not sure how it will work if you are in Germany? Would you be coming over to purchase the car?
