The wrx wagon sa is not an sti chap as far as im aware.
All the early cars had CDB and the wrx and sti shared the same gearbox anyway.
Get some pics up fella.

Which codes ???
Remember, the wrx models and sti models shared the same applied model codes in the early days as well as sharing the same gearbox.
Engine codes don't help either as subaru mixed and matched back then. The only real way of spotting an early sti is with pics.
The early sti would also have a plaque on the drivers side strut tower.

The engine codes on the early cars are a mind field chap and not a way to determine a model unfortunately.

Don't know why but whenever wrx sa chassis codes are given etc, there's always a debate on what they are or aren't...
That's the chassis and engine codes that's. All I can say, says as per sti,250 hp,so whether it is or isn't it has a closed deck block,a few mods, low miles and goes well...lol...pics tomorrow...

It's definitely not an STI, as it has none of the STI parts or badges.
Looks to be a nice clean example though - especially the engine bay, so GLWTS.

As above, certainly not an STI so won't have the STI engine as advertised.
However, looks bloody tidy and worth every penny of the asking price.
Good luck fella.
