UK MY00 classic Wagon for sale?
Hi all,
I think the day has come to finally move on from my beloved classic wagon, and so I am posting on here, to see if there is any interest in the car complete.
Ive had the car from new, and wouldn’t have wanted to sell it, but the decision has been made. Spent quite a lot of money servicing and brakes (Circa £1200 in the last 12 months), and now I have a loud whine coming from the gearbox. It still drives perfectly, but can’t afford any more investment. It’s mot is due end of this month, and insurance due etc, so seems a good time to start trying to save a bit of money!! Road tax until Feb 2014.
I would appreciate any suggestions regarding value, any realistic offers or recommendations, but it seems under normal circumstances, with the mods etc, I would have asked between £2.5 and £3k looking at similar vehicles/specs. somebody with more knowledge might be able to identify the noise, and deduct a reasonable amount from these figures for any necessary repairs
Basically, it’s a Uk Turbo 2000, registered in September 2000. DBM colour Wagon. 104,000 miles. It has a regular service history stamped up to 97,500 miles (2008) – so serviced on age, not mileage, but last few years has been looked after by a private mechanic/ mastertech. Got a couple of tiny little dents, but the rear bumper is scuffed on both corners, and a slight crease, and the front bumper has a couple of little scuffs, otherwise she’s a great looking car. The interior, seats are very good, maybe perfect, other than drivers has had me in it a lot, so thin in a couple of places! The back of the centre consul is scratched up a bit, and there are a couple of tiny digs on the top of the passenger door card and the arm rest has a tear, and a small dig in arm rest of rear door. some photo's attached, trying to be as honest as poss about it!
The car has had complete brake/ disc and shoes replaced in april this year.
A full service including Cam belt, and all fluids, and Radiator were replaced latter part of last year, I have all the receipts for parts etc.
It has the following currently fitted, and back in the day hit around 295bhp:
Ecu-Tek ‘tek 3’CPU licence and remap
Complete Hayward & Scott original ‘Scoobysport’ exhaust (3 sections)
Forge vent to atmos dump valve
P1 gearbox (complete with loud whirring noise)
P1 rear diff
Quickshift
Braided brake hoses etc
Clear front repeaters and side repeaters
Clear rear light cluster
Technomagnesio detroit F1 18” wheels (kerbed)
Aluminium oversize radiator ( approx 9 months old)
S600BY# number plate (# replaces the final digit for online security)
I think that’s it… will add if I remember more
I also have the original lights, dumpvalve, Wheels, and complete exhaust (including cat (approx 3000 miles old)) Thule roof bars, and prob some other bits too somewhere….
Anyway, appreciate any replies.
