Was the engine rebuild as a precaution or did it fail? Can you put some pics up please?

Engine was rebuilt by previous owner with big spec hence 351bhp on standard turbo. Engine did not fail as far as I'm aware.

This is the bottom price. You won't have to spend money on this car as all the work has already been done.

The car is used on occassions as the 'course car' at Thundersport GB Motorcycle race meetings and must have emergency/warning lights. Magnetic beacons won't stick so the car is fitted with 'Wig Wag's (same as 999 vehicles). I'd just like to add that the car is on circuit alone, with the race steward in the passenger seat and has never done a track day.

I think show's how they work.

Cheers for the update.

Are they standard pistons just oversized? Or are they a forged item, and again with the rods standard or aftermarket?

Do you know what crank was used?

Did the engine initially suffer from any problems hence the rebuild, or rebuilt for piece of mind etc.

Sorry for all the questions pal it's my buddy who's asking me to ask you lol

Cheers

It's not a problem.

Previous owner never mentioned forged and it sounds like a new engine so safe to assume they are just oversized. No mention of aftermarket rods or crank so again standard is my guess.

The guy had the work done as he felt the engine was tired and lost some of it's performance so precautionary. Runs like a dream though. Very smooth and no rattles or leaks.

He felt it was tired and lost power at 41k on the clock? Hmmm....

What are implying?
Do you know the history of the car? If so please feel free to add anything constructive.

If anyone would like an independent opinion of the engine, please feel free to contact Duncan who has mapped the car since I got it. duncan@racedynamix.com

Not implying anything. Just I've seen scoobys with 110k on the clock still pull like a train, why the owner got it rebuilt at 41k and also didn't bother forging it is anyone guess. I'm still tempted to buy this but to be honest the rebuild puts me off, seems a nice clean good example as well.
