'53 Blobeye Impreza WRX Wagon - stage 1 mods - £3600
Sadly a change in circumstances means that my Impreza wagon is up for sale:
2003 (53) Subaru Impreza WRX Sportwagon
MOT until April 14th 2014 (No advisories), Tax until end of July 2013
75618 miles
Other than the standard spec, this car benefits from the following:
RaceDynamix ECU remap
Walbro fuel pump
Green cotton panel air filter
Exhaust - WR sport back box with resonated decat midpipe (main & pre cat still in place)
Light tint to rear & side windows
Previous owner had the mods done, there are no receipts for the work, but I got into contact with Duncan at RaceDynamix who said he had record of the car. Besides, driving this one against a standard WRX, and it was clear as day!
Otherwise, it is totally standard.
Mechanically & cosmetically the car is in great condition.
There are no problems with the engine or drivetrain, no noises or knocks, and the engine pulls very well. On Thursday the car came up with a CEL, I checked the code and it is P031 - which means there is a problem with the front O2 sensors heater. I have ordered a replacement OE Denso O2 sensor, ready to fit before sale, but sadly it did not get to me for the weekend, so will hopefully be with me & fitted this coming Tuesday.
The exterior is also very good, there are a few small dents around the car, most notable being a very small one above the NSR arch. There are some light scratches on the top of the rear bumper, likely from people loading the boot, and also the usual stonechips around the front end - as expected with age and use.
Interior is also very good, all electrics work as expected. Air con works, but is not ice cold. Only things to note are a small hole in the drivers seat base and also some marks around the boot interior from being loaded up, etc, and also a couple of marks in the rear window tint.
The car also has Impreza WRX mats and Subaru boot liner. Original tool kit and jack, etc all present.
The cars history is good, service book is fully stamped for five years by Subaru, and a further sixth stamp from an idependent at 60k miles. There are lots of receipts for work done under previous owners.
Cambelt was replaced by Subaru at 37612 miles on 25/09/08.
In my ownership I have fitted a full set of tyres, Kumho KU39's, in August last year at 70662 miles - they have plenty of tread left on them. I gave the car an oil service on 25/09/12 at 71875 miles, using Shell Helix 5w-40 fully synthetic oil & genuine Subaru filter. Just recently I also replaced both auxiliary belts due to wear (05/05/13 at 75387 miles).
I've always ran the car on Super Unleaded.
Had a question about invoices, etc so here are the specific service details I have:
13/12/03 @ 1036 - SGT Subaru (stamped & invoice)
18/02/05 @ 9523 - SGT Subaru (stamped & invoice)
01/11/05 @ 17701 - Bulldog Twyford Subaru (stamped & invoice)
16/10/07 @ 30134 - Bulldog Twyford Subaru (stamped & invoiced covering 30k & 40k services)
25/09/08 @ 37612 - Sparshatts of Botley Subaru (stamped & invoiced - cambelt)
08/05/09 @ 47711 - invoice only
08/04/11 @ 60408 - Stable Cars (stamped & invoiced)
Then I have an invoice for oil & filter in 27/09/11 and then all invoices & record for the work I have done.
I'm only selling due to having a bit of a shuffle up with our cars, literally selling all three cars to go for something a bit different, and back down to two. It will be sorely missed as it's a great mix of practicality and performance, but the decision has been made!
Will come with all original handbooks/wallet and two keys.
Price: Reduced to £3600. I'm located in Sudbury, Suffolk.
Any questions please get in to contact.
Thanks for looking.

I have just bought a very similar car on an 04 plate, another silver wrx wagon, though its got 100k on now so a bit higher than yours. its also totally standard but I paid £2700 with 6 months tax and test. I have no idea of the price of the mods you have done to be fair but at the moment its a hard market to sell. Particularly a high insurance, high parts cost and thirsty motor.

Sounds like a good price to me Steve, but as you say, 25% more miles and standard - so less desirable for what I was looking for (I tested a standard one and was disappointed) - but you're right, it's a buyers market.
I've certainly had plenty of interest, even at my original price - but not one viewing yet!!
Anyway, I was going to write a fresh ad as this one has been bumped so many times, but as it's now top of the page again I'll just add my edit here:
£3600 ovno.

Last little bump for this, gave her a clean today so took some more pics this evening:
Final drop on this for SN users - £3500
Will also consider a deal against an E36 M3.

I did try that, but it only changed the post title. I did PM a mid asking them if they could change the title to reflect new price, but they didn't do it

That's wha I did.
Edit post > go advanced > edited title
But it just edits the title above the first post, not the thread title. Some forums have a time limit for how long you can edit a post title, after that and admin or mod can do it. Sometimes double clicking in listing allows it, so I'll try that on my laptop in a mo.

Just thought I'd say thanks to Andy for a hassle free sale. Chuffed to pick up a wagon fairly local. Had a good blast on the way back to work and tonight bringing it home.
PS you left me a present/free gift (queen cd) in the CD player I'll post it back if you want it??

Not at all mate!! I'd be a terrible car dealer as I'd bot want to let them go!!
As said in the ad, we are consolidating 3 cars back down to 2. Jane has had the BMW fot a few years now, so fancied a change, so the scooby will help fund that.
I'll have my mk1 Eunos for sale soon as well!!

Well, was going to get an NC but after testing an S2k last weekend, we're leaning towards one of those now.
Really did like the NC and it's still a contender, but the s2k is a little more special.

Yep definatly s2k easy over a nc anyday IMO.stretch for the revised model if you can afford.
Put it this way, the nc is not going to be as raw if that's the word I'm looking for as terms of handlings as your NA.
Plus s2k you get an extra 40hp compared to a civic due to better gearbox syncros
