Hello everyone

I don't post on here much but I know many members personally and you can speak with Alan/Martyn at EngineTuner about me and the car I have for sale.

I purchased the car in October last year and as I posted in my build thread, the Head Gasket let go running 1.6 bar.

I sent the car to Engine Tuner for a forged 2.5 build, bigger turbo etc etc

The spec of the car and pics of the build can be found here:

https://www.scoobynet.com/projects-4...ini-build.html

Final build was:

Mahle pistons with 0.025" overbore.
K1 rods
ACL Race bearings
RCM oil pump
RCM fuel pump
ARP head stud kit
Cosworth head gaskets
Fully overhaul the heads, and balance the assembly
New water pump
New cam belt
Scooby Clinic SC50 billet turbo
Perrin FMIC and 3" hard inlet
RCM header and 3 bolt up pipe
Syvecs ECU
1000cc injectors
Air pump delete
Tumble valve modifications
Radiator
CC Clutch
3 port solenoid
Air temp sensor
Wideband AFR

In addition to this, I have also added:

Cosworth baffled sump
Defi Oil temp, oil pressure and boost gauges with the controller
Latest Clarion NX702E - bluetooth, iPod/iPad, DVD player and iPod/iPhone/iPad video player (£995)
whiteline ARBs front and back
Polybushes all round
BC coilovers
Mintex pads
Goodridge lines
Miltek 3" downpipe and decat (no res)
Speedline Turini 18x8.5 with AD08's
BRAND NEW splitter (not fitted yet)
Rear diffuser from Spec-C
Competition Clutch (multi-plate I think)
Tein strut brace

The engine has done 4700 miles now since the brand new build, has had 3 oil changes and now running on Millers CFS10w60 (changed 300 miles ago).

The only thing to have gone wrong with it was a Bosch injector seized partially closed which was identified and all replaced under warranty by EngineTuner.

The car has 5 maps:

1 bar
1.2 bar
1.5 bar (approx 470bhp on VPower and 450 ft lbs)
1.5 bar (16% methanol 510bhp 470 ft lbs)
0.5 bar safe map for crap fuel if you ever get stuck anywhere

This was the car at the 'ring when the head went - looks the same still outside

The bad bits:

Some lacquer peel on the front bumper - about 3" wide by 1" tall

As with most DCCD cars, the centre diff is quite sticky in auto when doing tight
manoeuvres. I set it to full rear when reversing to get around this, as do most people.

I get about 330miles to a tank tickling the throttle on long runs. The car is mega quick, pulls very hard and is an absolute joy. If I were keeping it, I would be fitting some AP brakes as it gets to speeds very quickly!

The car has 67k miles on it, 4700 miles on the new engine / turbo etc.
It's been maintained meticulously whist in my possession (own workshop).

Reason for the sale - my Time Attack car is consuming my life and funds. Wanting to go sequential gearbox and other little toys so need to free up capital in this car.

Looking for ONLY £14,000 or VNO.

Car is located in Leeds

It's a great car, well built and easy on the road. It has the benefit of looking good too!

Nice and easy to use in traffic, flywheel isn't heavy (revs drop nicely) and no slippage with this power.

Does smell a little when it gets really hot (ie crawling traffic for 30 mins).

The car is my daily I have done 4900 miles now since the build in January. It's more fast road focused than track.

Great for little squeezes ok country lanes and A roads. It hasn't been on track since the build - my Mini is for that. I get 310 miles to a tank in the cruise.

It uses no oil whatsoever and wants for nothing. Will take some pics when I am home.

Sounds great
I just don't want a stripped out car and I'd swap out turbo for a sc32 or36 and remap
The 2.5 forged unit really looks and sounds what I'm after

Speak to Martyn about what would work best. I would imagine an SC46 would be well suited?

At 1 bar the car makes just over 400bhp. Doesn't feel like it at all and there is very little lag.

As above - its the lower tax bracket with it being a 55 plate. Believe it was £256 last year.
