X reg UK Impreza Turbo 2000 AWD - stunning red mica - 55K miles - superb condition
Price: £3950 OVNO (see below)
SOLD & COLLECTED BY THE NEW OWNER - 18/05/13
For sale is my red mica Turbo 2000. The red mica colour is gorgeous especially at dusk and was only available on the classic in the last year of production. I bought the car in 2008 from a Subaru main dealer. It was 100% as standard (pea shooter exhaust, 16" wheels etc.) and I am the third owner. I bought it with 44K on the clock.
Since then it has done just under 11K miles as it has been my weekend car. It has been garaged since I've owned it and never run on salty roads or often even when it's wet. The bodywork is in excellent condition with no rust on the rear arches etc. Since I have owned it I have meticulously cleaned the inside of the arches so no grime or mud can build up there. I think this has paid dividends.
In 2009 I had all the plastic trims and the front/rear bumpers removed from the car. New bumper supports were installed and the hidden part of the bodywork undersealed before the trim and bumpers were all resprayed afresh and replaced on the car.
The car has a full service history, Subaru up to 2008 and a local garage since then. You can speak to the garage owner as to the provenance of the work, he runs Subarus himself so knows plenty about them.
The car has air conditioning fitted from new - a new condenser was installed in 2009.
The car is sporting the following modifications:
Rota GRA 17" gunmetal alloy wheels - all in perfect condition
Michelin Pilot Sport 225/40R17 tyres - about 25% worn.
Resprayed bumpers, colour coded skirts/spats
STI V6 front lip splitter colour coded
De-tangoed - all clear lights and body coloured bumper inserts.
STI rear lights professionally installed with Carafax - no leaks
Debadged boot
Walbro fuel pump
Blitz Nur Spec R exhaust (bung included in sale - never fitted)
KYB adjustable shocks
H&R lowering springs - car lowered by 50mm
STI 7 seats - immaculate
Full mat set including boot, black with dark red trim
Still fitted with orginal radio/cassette and autochanger under front passenger seat
Clean MOT - 11 months expires end of March 2014 (no advisories)
Taxed - 4 months until end of August 2013
Last serviced and new brake pads March 2013
Bad points - none really - a couple of stone chips here and there, but they are tiny and scratches on the drivers window from the window mechanism but I have a brand new Subaru front window ready to be installed that will be sold with the car. A few very minor scratches on the interior, but nothing more than age related stuff.
I want £3950 for it or very nearest offer. yes it's a lot of money for a Turbo 2000, but the condition and mileage with tasteful mods make it worth it IMO. Please don't respond to this ad telling me that it's too expensive or making silly low offers!
I did plan to add brakes and uprate the engine a little, but time and work has put paid to that. I am just too busy these days to use and enjoy the car and there is little point it sitting in my garage gathering dust so I want it to go to someone who will really enjoy it and keep it as nice as it is now. I will not be selling it to someone I don't think will look after it.
I know I am going to regret it in some ways as I have had a Subaru in my life since 1996, but time to move on I think.
Please leave me a PM or message here with a name and phone number if you are seriously interested - car is in south Lancashire/north Manchester.
Anyway here are the pics:

Thanks for the great comments, it's a hard decision, but I just don't get to use her enough to warrant keeping her. I want her to go to someone who wants a great car to either just use as is or do a bit more to, but above all to enjoy!

Car has just been driven away by a great guy from Northern Ireland. imprezaworks knows him and he is going to try and join up here and join in the fun.
He was very happy and I must say I am rather sad to see her go. He promised me he would take good care of her and I am sure he will. He has got a superb example of the iconic shaped Impreza!
It also shows if you have a car in the right condition they will fetch good money. I am not going to say what he paid but it was very close to the asking price and all are very happy with the deal.
Thanks to imprezaworks for posting him the link, much appreciated
