Unfortunately the price seems a bit steep. It looks very nice but...
If you take it for what it is, a Turbo 2000 with a nice colour, different fog covers, different wheels, which aren't there anymore, and a sticker on the boot then you seem to be asking a lot for it considering it's done 107k.

I wouldn't say so, they often go between £3500 and £5500, the £3500 ones are usually in a sorry state and need a lot of work, it's not completely mint and the mileage isn't very low hence why I've stuck it in the middle of the pricing
all major work has been done and is mechanically sound, thought the P1 wheels looked better, still have the Rb5 alloys i could put back on I suppose
aren't all classic ltd editions just nice paint jobs and other subtle things? apart from the 22b?
cheers for the feedback

it's also not a wr sport version, has plenty of scabs / rust, bonnet doesn't look right, hasn't had half the work done to it that mine has, wrong front driving lamps / covers, no interior pics so i'd imagine it's in poor nick and by the sounds of it has had head gasket problems
it looks like a neglected example that's probably not far off the donor stage, to top it all off the poor advert and low feedback will not help
to be honest i wouldn't pay £2800 for it, i'd only be willing to buy it as spares or long term project so would want it for under £2000

fair enough, like i said open to offers, no rush to sell so i'll just keep using it as a daily driver
would be a shame to just store it until someone wants it, old cars tend to go to rat sh*t when parked up too long

If it has had an engine rebuild, worth every penny.
If not, then £3.5k tops.
The classic shape Impreza's just really aren't worth anything any more.
You can get a very good example for a standard UK Turbo, same year, less mileage for under £3k.
Hate to burst your bubble fella, but if you want to sell it, you need to be more realistic with the price.
It does look like a very tidy example by the way.
Just a shame it doesn't have the original wheels on it.
That is the only way you are going to get anywhere near what you are asking. It has to be as original as possible. You are asking a premium because it is an RB5. So it would make sense that everything should be as it came out of the factory.

Put it this way, my CAT D (very minor and sorted) RB5 will be up for sale soon which needs a bit of cosmetic work and I'll be asking for £1500 which I feel is good value.
5K will be Blobeye STI money pretty soon.

it's ok i'd rather keep it than let it go for silly money, turned down £3900 and 4000 already so people must think a well sorted one is worth some money
can't be many well sorted Rb5 WR Sports left so i'll keep hold of it until the price is right to sell
the Rb5's do tend to go for more but i'm asking more than normal due to the conditon of the car, might put the standard Rb5 alloy wheels back on if it helps

You got offered 4k and turned it down? You must be mental! As said the market for old performance cars especially Impreza's is on its **** and only beyond mint and only original cars with no work needed will sell for a decent amount.
I was following a WR sport on eBay not long ago which was in perfect condition and it went for £2600. IMO that's about 600/800 more than a good condition UK turbo should go for so that's the premium.
Good luck though and I hope you get what you want for it BUT 4k? Should have bit his hand off.

yeah maybe should have at £4000 doesn't really matter though money isn't a problem
i followed Rb5's for 12 months before i bought this one, they still tend to go for late
£3k's (the half decent ones) i'll wait, i don't believe in a buyers marker / sellers market, just rumours i've seen plenty of cars and houses etc sold against any trends
if it's right for someone they will pay the money, on the other hand i could let it go for cheaper, i'll keep driving it for a while longer i think before i decide
cheers all for the feedback

far from standard, after all the recent work i'd say mines in better nick, plus mines cheaper, anyway it's not a competition i hope they both sell
nice bloke actually he came to view mine before he bought that one a few months ago, since then i've had a shed load of work done to mine like 4 new tyres, cambelt, clutch, brakes etc

They should be in 5 years time when all the tatty and halfords catalogue ones have been scrapped, because of their huge rally heritage I think they will be sought after in a few years and enthusiasts will pay out for good ones, especially limited editions

Take it youve got an RB5 then!

Haha yes I do, a mint standard low milage WR sport. I do think they feel particularly special though and a lot more than just a 'grey turbo 2000' which people keep referring to them as, there's just something about them. I'm sure other RB5 owners would agree...

i agree, even though i'm thinking of selling i still keep getting things for it lol
alot of car mags / reviewers put them as one of the best classic imprezas, rare but don't cost a fortune to buy, uk spec, and just a generally well done out motor
