Default 97 sti version 3 £1350

looking to sell as a whole bit if no interest then will break
bought the car the other day as it needed a few little jobs doing but not got the time to complete due to loss of job so needs to go as family come first
the car is a 97 sti version 3 lets start with the jobs that need doing
slight blow from downpipe
rear arch is starting to bubble
the rod that holds bonnet up needs sorting
cig burn on passenger seat
needs gearstick surround as the plastic is broke
few marks here and there as with a car of its age and not bad
the jobs that need doing are only minor and nothing major just cosmetic
the good bits
fitted new crank shaft seals as when bought it the guy never said it had an oil leak and put cambelt on when engine was out today
fmic
genuine sti carbon clocks
hks induction kit
blitz nur spec
decat
sti rear lights
uprated fuel pump
clifford cat 1 alarm
i think 11 months mot
all wheels and tyres in good condition just little pealing on alloys
runs and drives fine just wants fron wheels balanceing as slight wobble on motorway
the car just only needs the jobs above doing.so a few hours work and thats it,any questions just ask.thanks ste

So you bought it then?

Classics are double skinned on the rear, you get that much blistering and the inner skin has gone, you need to replace the panel.
It cost me 200 quid to sort out just the minor blistering on my v5 type R (and it was very very minor), and he had to take 2 inches up the wing back to metal, so if you dont think that was bad, that v3 is terrible
Sorry OP, but once you understand when the rot sets in and it blisters that badly, your screwed.

To be fair the seller priced it well for the faults it had. If someone has bought it who has access to a bodyshop then the expensive job of the rear arches may not be too pricey and he has got a good car for the money.
