1996 Tommy Kaira Impreza No.516-1000 Genuine
For Sale:1996 'Tommy Kaira' WRX-RA Impreza with STi-RA engine
I am regrettably forced to sell my much-loved Tommy Kaira Subaru Impreza due to changes in current job. I am the first UK owner since the car was imported (Japan) in October 2008, supplied by Severnside imports. When purchased the car had 98,000Km (60,000miles) on the clock, and it now has 115,000km (71,500miles)
Overall Condition:
Interior condition is excellent, no tears cracks or damage to trim. Seats are in excellent condition, they feel supportive and hold you in as intended.
Exterior overall is in very good condition. There are some age related imperfections which are only noticeable under close investigation. The weels would benifit from a refurbishment. There is one wheel that has the Tommy Kaira centre cap missing, i will replace with the Subaru Equivelant.
Driving Experience
When driving there are no knocks, bangs or rattles from interior or mechanics. It still feels very tight and poised and pulls hard through all gears. Changing gear is mechanical precision!
The spec on the car is as follows:
It is a ‘Tommy Kaira’ Impreza M20b WRX-RA. Tommy Kaira is a tuning company based Kyoto, Japan and a total of 1000 were made in Japan, mine is No.516, as stamped on the certification plate.
Based on the Impreza WRX-RA (Race Altered) with light weight aluminium panels, boot and bonnet, brake and fuel lines fed through the inside of the car, quick ratio steering and gearbox.
Tommy Kaira Factory Fitted Extras:
- TK Front Bumper
- TK Rear Bumper
- TK Rear Spoiler
- TK 17” Alloys
- TK Steering Wheel with extended boss
- TK Speedo, rev counter
- TK Oil pressure, oil temp and boost gauges
- TK ECU
- ARC Larger top mount intercooler with twin water spray
- GAB Coil-over Suspension with adjustable camber and damping
- Quick Rack Steering
- Close Ratio 5 speed Gearbox
Aftermarket Modifications:
- EBC Grooved Front Brakes and Red Stuff Pads (1000miles if that???)
- De-cat 3” bell-mouth stainless steel exhaust (Heat wrapped on downpipe)
- K&N High Flow Panel Filter
- Manual Boost Controller (Currently set at 1.05bar)
- Electronic Turbo Timer with Battery Voltage display and adjustable idle time
- Pioneer DEH-75BT Stereo with Bluetooth connectivity and built in hands free
(Bluetooth compatible with iPhone allowing you to wirelessly stream music to the device and take phone calls via a small microphone discreetly installed into the dash)
- Sony Amplified 200w Dual Subwoofer system with controller installed in glove box
I have maintained this car in the condition it was purchased and i hope to sell it to someone who will not abuse or degrade it, i really do not want to sell, however, I am forced to due to changes in current job. The car has been used but not abused. No standing starts or power launches and i have not taken this on a track, a very honest, well cared for vehicle and a rare one too!

dude this is a rare car and i wish i had the room for this so i could sit this in a garage for years to come and the front bumper looks great but then i do have this bumper on mine lol
this car really shopudl not be this cheap and may be worth just keeping it for time to come as these models will be worth more in the future then most of the others dude
