2003 Sti PPP
SOLD!!!!
Me and the wife are going to get a VW T4 / T5 to do some travelling / camping next year so my beloved Impreza has to go.
Basics:
It is a 2003 (53plate) Blobeye Sti with PPP (certificate present) in WR Blue with 95,000 on the clock and 11 months MOT, only advisory was worn rear anti roll bar link.
Details:
I bought the car with part service history, it had stamped history up until 52,000 and the first cambelt then was done by the owner at the time who was a mechanic, he had it mapped by Bob Rawle. The guy i bought it off was a member on here and had added the wheels (Jan 2013) and exhaust system (May 2013) both with receipts to prove. There are other receipts from his ownership as well, battery in 2010, four wheel alignment some receipts for oil etc that his mechanic friend did.
I bought it in September of 2013 and i took it to Engine Tuner in Plymouth in October for a check over and any work done that was needed, on this visit i had:
Full road and ramp test
Discs and pads all round and helicoils where needed on the calipers
Primary lambda sensor replaced
Cosworth filter panel
New Remap to smooth out torque curves, made 353.4bhp with print out
I supplied new rear KYB shocks that were fitted (receipt to prove)
Bulbs etc replaced
Wheel balancing
In November 2013 it went back to Engine Tuner for:
Engine Oil and filter change that i supplied (Opie oils)
Rear wheel bearing
Flush and replace coolant
It has been to Engine Tuner again since (need to find invoice for date) and had:
Other rear wheel bearing
Gearbox oil change
Diff oil change
Cambelt change (92,000)
In May 2014 i took it to a local garage as i had a radiator leak and had a 2nd hand radiator from a member on here that i supplied fitted and coolant flush and change.
It has been to Rowleys Subaru specialists (need invoice for date) it had:
new spark plugs
check over as i had a bit of smoke and a squeal, turned out to be a boost leak and a worn turbo
Boost pipes checked and tightened and sorted
It went back to Rowleys on 24 September 2014 and had:
Oil and filter change supplied by me (Opie oils)
Turbo bought from a lower mileage car from Matty at BR developments on here fitted
Good points:
PPP (with certificate)
Very good condition
Inovit prodrive rep 18" wheels in good condition
Cobra full track day exhaust system
New rear wheel bearings
Plenty of life left in brakes
New spark plugs
Recent oil changes on everything
Nice remap with good power and proof by Engine Tuner
New cambelt
Lower mileage Radiator
Lower mileage turbo
Rear shocks 12 months old
11 months MOT (only advisory rear roll bar link worn)
Good condition interior (i use seat covers)
Sti car mats
De-tangoed headlights
De badged front upper grill
Decent Clarion headunit with bluetooth, hands free, aux in and usb connector in the glovebox
Receipts for everything i have done in the last 12 months
Bad points:
Dent in bootlid. Got dented in the storms last January, i bought a boot in WR blue from a fellow member but it got a scuffed on the bottom edge in transit so i havent fitted it yet. Its debadged and doesnt need a lot to make mint.
Front tyres havent got loads of life in but plenty for now
Only 1 key
Not FSH but with all i have spent and sorted in the last 12 months i think pretty much everything major is covered
In the last week the boot release in the car has disconnected somewhere but key works fine
Overall i think this is an honest example of a WR Blue Blobeye Sti which has had a lot spent in the last 12 months by reputable garages.
I am in Lyme Regis on the South coast of England but i am occasionally in the East mids (leicestershire) visiting family
I would like £6750ono or consider part ex on T4/T5 camper
Please Pm me on here or reply on this thread and ill get back to you

Solid car, good price, best of luck.
If I was in the market the bad points would honestly put me off. Can't you at least fix the trivial stuff yourself before selling?

As said bud....the bad bits make people hit the back button.
9 out of 10 people will have x amount to buy a car....they want the newest they can get , the odd one will look at yours and bid you knowing what needs doing and have it factored into the offer they make.
It will sell fella.....they all do.
At least you are honest in the advert and you won't get the usual 'what a waste of a day ' thread popping up

I have tried to be honest for that exact reason, don't want waste of time don't bother going to see comments etc but sometimes it does make you think about how much to put in the advert.most of my bad points are minimal and don't affect the drive or car.i will try to get time to fix what I can and adjust ad as appropriate.i realise it might not be the time of year really either with Xmas around the corner.

Just to add, there is a catch/latch on the boot lid mechanism similar to child locks on a car door. It has known to get caught/moved and disable the internal release lever might be worth a look

Pretty much at 98k now, the travelling is becoming ridiculous and I don't want to keep racking the miles up plus the entrances/parking facilities we generally get on site aren't ideal. So although it kills me i will take £5500 so I can get a more suitable work hack

Tell me about the mileage, its killing me which is one reason to get rid now before it gets too much.ill miss it though as the drive and sound going to work everyday does make me smile.
No clutch invoice unfortunately, was told a previous mechanic owner did it and the way it pulls with the mileage makes me think it has been done.

Willing to listen to part ex/swap deals. Wife's car has had it so she needs something. Audi/skoda/seat/vw Tdi preferably an estate or a qashqai would be good
