Don't get the e46 m3 mate, they are boring and not that quick, you will be disappointed.
I made the same mistake.

Random question, what size is the steering wheel, and do you have any pictures of it from the drivers view?

Very nice looking car by the way

As much as you may wish you had bought this for its £10k ask price, it'll never sell at £12.5k.. No offence to the original owner/seller, but as much as this is a very lovely car, and the nice modifications it's had done, at the end of the day it's still on a standard engine, and what I would "now" call standard power for this model.

I've sold better power/handling/brake spec'd Blobeye's for £8k-£8.5k, albeit this one look much nicer that the ones I've had.

Cheshire Performance seem to be on the ball at snapping up these cars and putting a hefty mark up on them, i guess they have clocked onto the fact that theres a big market for them.

Out if interest did they give you the asking price?

£12.5k is incredibly steep, i thought £10k seemed a lot... You used to be able to pick up these widetracks for around £8k-£9k but they seem to be shooting up in price at the mo !!

Cheshire performance and Boys toys alone are responsible for the ridiculous prices on blobeye stis now.

Its mainly the widetracks really, although they are obviously the most sought after.

Its annoying because ill be in the market for one in about a month and im just watching the prices go up and up !

Seen private sellers also asking 10k

So 12k from dealer with a full warranty wouldn't be unreasonable

10k from a private seller with 0 warranty.... ?

Just my 2 pence worth

2 grand for a 3 month warranty maybe 6 mths if your lucky is extortionate in my opinion

It's not the warranty ure paying for though is it ,

Might only be 3 months but if ure engine goes I know you would need more than 2 grand to put it right and the dealer would have to put that right, what would private man say?

**** off that's what.....

You take your chances when buying private, yeah dealers may have a hefty mark up but it's never so simple as just 'profit'

Dealers have things like after care to cover if/when cars go wrong

Staff / advertising costs / site costs / tax / vat on the profit (20%) and that's just a small % of the costs

You take ure chances with private man as I've found out myself on a couple of occasions now to my expense,

All dealers are the same as any other business

They operate to make a profit !

It's not a dirty word

Obviously dealers need to make money.
And to be fair Cheshire Performance seem like a quality place with some awesome motors.

I just meant when a car is up for £10k ono, and within a couple days of sale the exact same car is back up for £12.5k then its a bit wrong in my opinion.
And about the warrantee, its hard enough to get the main dealers to pay out on brand new cars going wrong let alone a small second hand car dealer to pay out.
I know if i was a dealer i would try my best to get out of paying on a warrantee if at all possible and there are tons of ways to get out of it, i work in the motor trade ive seen it done plently of times.

It doesnt matter anyway its a beautiful car and someone will pay £12.5k for it, as you say a warrantee means a lot to some people, especially those who are less competent with cars.
